He has been member of the main national and international water associations as IWA, IDA and Aedyr (Board member from 2006 to 2010) with multitude of research projects, courses, congress, conferences, and publications in the water sector.
His career has been focused to large international engineering and construction projects, either under BOT or EPC schemes. A very sound business background acquired thanks to the different positions he has held in the business, from Project Director in at-the-time largest desalination plant in Europe (Carboneras), to Desalination and Technical Director of one of the worldwide leading companies in the sector, or in positions related to business development in the last 10 years.

Mr. Jorge Salas holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Seville University, Spain, Postgraduate Studies on Environmental Engineering in University of Michigan (USA) and Civil and Mechanical Engineering Courses in Newcastle upon Tyne University (United Kingdom).
